The Department of Agriculture lias received by the Gothic as a present from Messrs Weddell and Co., the produce merchants of London, a sample Cheshire choose of the best kind, measuring 12in in depth and diameter. This cheese is by one of the best makers, and is doubtless intended as a kind of object lesson for New Zealand producers. It is to be sent in the meantime to the cool stores, but will be cut up shortly, and specimen pieces will be forwarded to some of the principal cheese producers and dealers.
