THE ASHANTI CAMPAIGN.
London, January 15. News has been received that the British troops under Colonel Sir Francis Scott are within 20 miles of Coomassie, the capital of Ashanti. Prince Henry of Battonbcrg, who was seized with fever in Ashanti, is better. London, January 18. News from Asliantee states that the British force has occupied Coomassie without opposition, and that King Prempeh has accepted the British demands.
