THE "SCOUR" IN CALVES
It is calculated that fully 20,000 calvos have, in tho past, died annually in this Colony from tho complaint known as tho , " Scours." This roprosonts a loss to tho farmers of, at least, .£25,000. There is no necessity for calvos to dio from scours, if tho proper remedy is usod in time. Mr Alex. Colson, of Now Plymouth, so well and widely known in connection with tho stock .sales of Mr Now ton King, tho well-known auctionedsays: " There is no mistake, thoso Scour Drenches niado by Ellis, of Stratford, are a wonderful remedy. I nover saw anything equal to thorn. I had Homo calves, tho other day, lying almost dead from scour. I gave them ono dose each, just on tho oiT ohanoo, hardly expocting them to live. Noxt day, those samo calves wore strong and well, and as lively as crickets. I strongly recommend every farmer to keop them by him, for I can guarantee if ho uses thorn in time ho will never havo his calvos dio from tho Scours.'' These Drenches may be obtainod through all storekeepers, at Is Gd por packet, with full directions ; or thoy will be sent free by post on receipt of tho amount, in postal notos from tho solo manufacturer, W.
