LAND SETTLEMENT.

Arrangements have been aaade by the Lands Department to bring the following lands into the market on the date# mentioned below :—'Pastoral run of IUOO acres in Stewart Island, to be offered for lease for 21 years at InvercargiM on 10th July ; 12,000 acres of unsurveyed land in Matata s»arish, Whakatane County, to be offered under the optional system at Auckland oa the 17th July; 2340 acres of first and second-class land in the counties of Bay of Islands, Hokianga, Hobson, Eaglan, Whangarei, Whakatane, Waitemata and Taurfffiga, to be offered under the optional system »t Auckland on the 24th July; run, No. 9 of No. 23, adjoin"ing Kurow township and containing 2200 acres, to be offered for lease for 21 years at Dunedin oM the 17th July.
