No entry will be received for any race except upon the condition that all claims, disputes and objections shall bo decided by a j majority of the stewards present or whom i they may appoint, and their decision on all points shall be final. All nominations, entries and acceptances, accompanied by the necessary amount payable, close at the Royal Oak Hotel, Wellington, at 9 p.m. on the dates named. The rules and weights of the Rules of Racing, adopted by the Metropolitan Clubs of New Zealand, will be strictly adliei’ed to. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of all stakes. Races Nos. 1,3, 5, and 7 are confined to qualified hunters only. Owners or riders must produce Masters’ Certificates to the Clepk of the Scales before the horses are weighed out for any of tbeso events. Qualification of a Hunter—A hunter is a horse that has been hunted regularly with any recognised pack of hounds, to the satisfaction of the Master, during the season 1895, and the bona fide property of a member of any recognised Hunt Club. Definition of a Maiden Rider —Any member of a recognised Hunt Club, who has never before ridden in a race of any description (hunter races excepted), and who has never won a hunters’ race at the time of starting.
