At the annual meeting of the Wanganui Chess and Draughts Club the following officers were elected: —Hon J. Bryce, president ; Mr W. Armstrong and Dr Hatherly, vice-presidents; Messrs McFarlane, J. A society for instituting paper hunts has been formed in Naples, and now the permission of King Humbert has arrived for the paper chases to be made in the royal preserves at Astroni twice a week during Die month of March.
