Dunedin, May 16. The woman Minnie Dean was charged at Milton this morning with having murdered the infant Eva Hornsby. The police explained that they expected to find the child’s body at Clarendon, but it had been discovered in the accused’s garden at Winton. Therefore the case would be taken to Invercargill, Mr Hanlon, for defence, offering no objection. Accused was remanded to appear at Invercargill on Thursday next. Invercargill, May 16. Charles Dean was charged this morning with the murder of two infants, and remanded, on the application of the police, till the 23rd May.
