THE MEDICAL ASSOCIATION THANES THE GOVERNMENT. The Colonial Secretary has received the following letter from Dr E. Wallace Mackenzie, hon. secretary of the Wellington branch of the New Zealand Medical Association : —“ I am instructed to inform you that the Wellington branch of the New Zealand Medical Association has passed a vote of thanks to the New Zealand Government for its wonderful forethought in getting out a supply of diphtheria antitoxin. The new remedy arrived just in time to meet a severe epidemic of diphtheria at the Upper Hutt and Petone, and has already been the means of saving several cases which would almost certainly have proved fatal without it.”
