Last week a sensational telegram was received telling us that the decomposed body of a woman named Young had been discovered in a house in South Melbourne, and that the circumstances pointed to murder. Details were given of the fearful gash discovered in the throat, of the noise of quarrelling a few days before, and of the nailing-up of the windows by a man named Cole, who had since that time been missing. Now comes a further Press Association telegram: —"It was Cole's body that was found in the house in South Melbourne, and not the body of the woman Young.
