FOOTBALL.
W : Roberts, wlio played for the Ponekeg last year, will play for the Petone Clitb this season. Jack, who represented Wellington last year, and one .of the Wellington Club’s best forwards, is at present away from Wellington, and it is unlikely that his Club will have the benefit of his servicesr at the beginning of the season at all events. There will be a lot of new blood in the Wellington Club team this season, the majority of last year’s senior team having either left Wellington or given up the game. ~ _ The Poneke Club, last season’s champions, will be very much weakened in the back division by the absence of Roberts, Wynyard and Gage. The two latter are now in Auckland, and there is just a chance that Gage will return to Wellington during the season. 1
