Napier, March 6. Michael Sullivan has been committed for trial on a charge of maliciously stabbing Arthur McArtney, licensee of the Caledonian Hotel. Dunedin, March 6. About 1300 children from the Albany street School were taken out to Purakanui by rail to-day, and the Lawrence scholars, to the number of 350, were brought into town. The weather was magnificent. "Westport, March 6. Mr R. Mcjfenzie, M.H.R., addressed his constituents last night in" the Princess Theatre. He defended the Government and the appointment of the Sergeant-at-Arms. He received a vote of thanks and confidence.
