The following grand jurors were excused from service at the Supreme Court on Monday :—H. W. L. Hawke, because he is ill and has gone to Wanganui on medical advice ; F. E. Eley (accountant of the Gear Company), because the manager of his Company was serving on the jury, and it would be inconvenient for both of them to be away; Archibald Hall (manager of the trams), because the tram service required his supervision; H. I). Gilbert (passen-o-er clerk in the Union Steam Ship Company's office), because his absence from the office would cause inconvenience to the travelling public; Frederick Bradey, because he is over age. The following petty jurors were also excused: —Messrs W. H. Honour, H. Davenport, J. Blundell, J. Saul, G. Nicholas, J. A. Lennie, H. B. A, Duncan, W. G. Emeny, A. Usmar, H. J. Douglas, J. S. Stitt, T, H, Hitchey and J. Fearn,
