At the last meeting* of the Rangitikei County Council, tho engineer, Mr McKay, reported that the Rangitikei Bridge at Bulls was literally rotten in places, and tho iron-bolts wore corroded and wasting away. A now bridge was required, and temporary repairs were absolutely necessary. Ho had notified that no larger load than one ton should pass over tho bridge. It was resolved that a copy of the report be sent to the Manawatu Council, with a request that they appoint an engineer to confer on the matter with Mr M&Kay,
