Definition of a hack. — A hack means a horse that has never won an advertised race to the net value of oyer 4JO sovs (hack and hunters' races excepted). * : 2. Nominations and 7 Acceptances (in proper form) must be accompanied by the necessary fee, otherwise they will be rejected. If Nominations or Acceptances are telegraphed, the fees must be forwarded by first mail thereafter. This rule will be strictly enforced. 3. Nominations must state name, age, colour, pedigree, and v past performances where not known to, the; handicapper, and colours to be worn by the rider. 4. The winner of any advertised race, after the declaration of weights, to the net value of 30 sovs, to carry a penalty of 51b in the Sandon Handicap. The winner of any advertised race, after declaration of weights, to tbe net value of 30 sovs, to carry a penalty of 71b in the Flying Stakes Handicap and 51b in the Tramway Handicap. 5. All races to be run under the " Rules of Racing," as "adopted by the Metropolitan Clubs in New Zealand.
