The following is ike New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company’s roport of the Addington market (telegraphed on the 6th to the Mail) : —Fat Cattle —Average supply, principally cows and heifers; competition dull; values equal lfis 6d to 20s per 1001 b. Store and dairy cattle—Demand for stores slack. Dairies met with good competition. Prices good. Springers, £7 to £9. Store sheep—Yarding, 2700. Attendance good, but competition slack. Two-tooth crossbred brought 7s to 9s 2d ; crossbred lambs, 4s to 7s 3d. Fat limbs About 1700 penned. Prime fit for export, met with fair trade, others hard to quit. Values : Former, 9s 6d to 12s ; latter, 5s to 8s Gd. Fat sheep— Full yarding, 4300, principally crossbred ewes and light 2-tootbs. Demand sluggish all round. Prices : Freezers, 10s to 12s 9d; ewes, 7s to 10s Gd ; merino wethers, 5s to 7s ; merino ewes, 4s to 5s Gd. Pigs—Average entry of porkers and baconers. Good demand to per lb. Sydney, February 6. Wheat—-Chick, 2s 3d to 2s td; prime milling, 2s 7d to 2s Bd. Flour — £6 5s to £7 ; maize, Is Gd to 2s. Oats—Fair feed, Is lid ; prime, 2s to2s o|d. Cherries shipped from Adelaine by the Australia, and packed in cork dust,’ arrived in excellent condition. Part of the consignment was rotten, however, owing to contact with apples and leaves. There are prospects of a good market for Australian apples. FREEMAN B. JACKSON AND CO.’S RAM FAIR/. Wanganui, February 6. The annual ram fair held by Freeman R. Jackson and Co. began to-day. There was a large attendance, but it was evident at first that prices would be very low. Out of 792 rams offered, about 250 were sold, mostly Lincolns, Fred Sutton’s topping the market, averaging £4 76s lid. The highest price obtained was 13a guineas. W. Wilson’s lot 3 averaged £3 14s 6d, with the highest 6i guineas ; Mrs Watt’s (Lillie Bank) averaged £2 14s, and Bryce’s £2 4s 3d.Several averaged £2 2s, but some only £1 Is. Tho sale will be continued to-morrow. THE WOOL MARKET. The following London market cablegram has been received by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) : —Wool —The sales closed this day, and tho following alterations in prices since the last sales have to be recorded :— Greasy merino super is par to id per lb higher. Greasy merino medium and inferior, fine and medium greasv crossbred are par to id per lb lower. Medium washed and scoured crossbred, coarse greasy washed and scoured crossbred, greasy merino lambs super, medium and inferior, and greasy crossbred lambs are id per lb lower. Washed merino super, medium and inferior; scoured merino medium and inferior, and fine greasy and scoured crossbred, are id to Id per lb lower. The total quantity sold during the past sales is 200,000 bales, of which 92,000 bales have been taken for the Continent and 16,000 bales for America. It is estimated that 52,000 bales have been held over for future disposal. Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co. have received the following wool cablegram from their London house (Messrs Sanderson, Murray and Co.), under date sth February : The sales have closed weak; 52,000 bales have been held over. London, February 5. The wool sales closed to-day. There were 92,000 bales sold to Continental and 16,000 to American buyers ; 92,000 taken for Home consumption, and 50,000 withdrawn. . Compared with the prices at the previous sales, good free merino remains steady, faulty and inferior Id lower, crossbreds par to id lower, inferior id to Id lower. Invercargill, February 6. About 3000 bales were submitted at the second wool sales to-day. There was a good attendance of buyers, but prices showed a decline of id to §d on those ruling at the previous sale. Crossbreds brought up to Bd, but only for special lines. The top price for merinos was 4|d.
