A polo competition between North Island clubs wfill be held on the Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s Ground at an early date. It is expected that four clubs will take part in the competition. A burning question amongst the auctioneers is, it appears, that of how to keep the voice up to its proper pitch. The auctioneer has sometimes to cultivate his voice like an opera singer, as his livelihood depends upon it. There are throat and lung specialists who devote particular attention to this grave matter.
