A mooting of tho Wellington .Distribution Committee of the Wairarapa Belief Fund was bold on Friday at tho City Council Chamber, Mr A. do B. Brandon in tho chair. The treasurer reported that .£IOO 2» Od had boon disbursed in accordance with tho relief appropriations made, leaving a balance or <£2144 14s. Tho lion secretary of tho Oamaru fund wrote stating that he had £l3O available for distribution. Ho asked either that tho Wellington Committee should assist Oamaru with a contribution from tho Wellington fund, or that tho Oamaru beneficiaries should be allowed a share out of tho Wellington fund. Tho oommittoo decided to take ovor tho Oamaru fund, and to givo Mrs Croe, whoso husband was drownod, 10s a week for herself and child for five years. Mrs Howland, of Oamaru, avid her family woro voted 3Os a week for five years, and Mrs Pratt, now in Melbourne, wlioso son was drownod, was voted tho sum of £2O. Tlio Dhnodhi Committee submitted a report from which it would require an additional sum of £1001) In Id to provido for the Dunedin appropriations. Tho socretary was instructed to inform tho Dunedin Committee that if it would deal with such cases as its funds would permit tho Wellington Committee would dealt with any further eases submitted to it so far as its funds enabled it to do so and tho circumstances justified.
