Palmerston North, January 28,
The Loan and Mercantile Company’s local branch has been removed to new and more commodious offices in Rangitikei street, near Mr Matthew Henry’s saleyards.
The total number of entries for the annual ram fair is 1257, or 100 more than were received last year. A lad named Chamberlain, employed by the Longburn Freezing Company, received a nasty wound in the neck yesterday, through a knife slipping.
It is stated that Mr Scott, of the Terrace End School Committee, is to be asked to become a candidate for the Wanganui Education Board.
