An aged couple named Mr and Mrs Williams, of Makara, who have been living in a state of extreme neglect, were brought into town last week by Mounted-Constable Smith and placed in the Benevolent Home. During the fortnight ending* on the 16th instant, 57 people were admitted to the Hospital. The number of out-patients treated during that period was 164, The bottles of medicine given cut, without payment, numbered 821.
