The manager of the Melbourne Butter Chilling Company is convinced that it will be necessary for the butter producers to unite and limit the number of distributing agencies in London, in order to regulate supplies, and prevent the ruinous sacrifice caused by the smaller men underselling the market.
The following sub-collectors of agricultural statistics have been appointed for the Counties of Wairarapa North, Wairarapa South and Pahiatua, under the supervision of Mr W. R. Bone, Superintendent Collector: —Wairarapa North— Masterton Borough, Joseph May; Masterton Riding. W. R. Bone ; Mauriceville Road District, W. R. Bone; Eketahuna Riding, Thomas R. Nestor; Alfredton Riding, John Smith; Upper Taneru Road District, W. R. Bone ; Wainuioru Riding, Thomas D’Arcy; Castlepoint and Akitio Ridings, E. W. Green. Wairarapa South Carterton Borough, Robt. Darby ; Carterton Riding, Austin Seeley ; Gladstone Riding, Joseph Eccleton; Greytown and Featherston Ridings, E. Darley; Awliea and Otaraia Ridings, Charles Bowden ; Featherston township, Charles F. Smith. Pahiatua— This county has been divided into two sections, one section being taken by Robt. 1 Marsh and the other by Ernest B. Hare.
