SHIPPING.

Auckland, January 3. The cargo steamer Aswanly, under charter to the Now Zealand Shipping- Company to load wool for London, arrived this afternoon after a good run of 21 days from Japan. The Aswanly is a new vessel, having- been launched only at the beginning of 1894. She is the property of Adam and Co., shipowners, Aberdeen. Capetown, January 7. The Ruapehu left yesterday for Hobart. Tho Orient Company's ss Maori King, from Sydney, Newcastle and Melbourne, arrived on Saturday morning, having called in for the purpose of taking 300 tons of coal. She sailed for London in the evening. Her cargo from Australia consists.of 60,000 carcases mutton, 500 tons of butter, 5000 bales wool, 500 tons mineral ore, and 2000 casks tallow and pelts. The local agents for the Gothic have been advised that the steamer left Bio on the 3rd inst. for Plymouth, with her cargo of frozen meat in good condition, and that the lonic left Plymouth for Auckland, Wellington and Lyttelton on the 29 th December. Advice has been received to the effect that the Shaw, Savill and Albion Co/s Pakeha left London for "Wellington via Port Chalmers and Lyttelton on the 21st December. THE BUAPEHU'S PASSENGERS. THE DORIC. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Co.'s steamer Doric sailed for London, via Rio, at 3 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon.
