THE TRIAL SHIPMENT OF TIMBER.
The Government have decided to send by the s.s. Port Melbourne, leaving Wellington on the 12th January, the trial shipment of 100,000 ft of New Zealand timber which they have arranged to place on the London market. Every care will be taken to ensure that the timber will be such as to favourably impress the trade. It is expected that the shipment will reach its destination about the end of February.
