Mount Cook Infants’ School separated for the holidays last Wednesday. There was a large attendance of the parents of the children, and Messrs Vincent, Langford and Roberts (members of the School Committee) were also present. The children performed the cantata “Birds and Fairies,” which was given so successfully at the Princess Theatre a short time ago. Votes of thanks were awarded to Mrs Francis (head teacher) and the staff, after which the children were presented with attendance certificates by Mr B. B. Vincent (chairman of the School Committee), They were supplied with refreshments.
