A communication has been received by the Government from Canada, .in which the proposal is made that Canadian products should be admitted to this Colony duty free in exchange for the admission to Canada of New Zealand rabbit-skins and leather. The matter will remain in abeyance until the revision of the tariff has been considered by Parliament next session.
An Indian carpet has been made for the Queen in the Agra prison. The roll, which weighs three tons, and is about 40ft long, waß conveyed from London to Windsor in several railway trucks. ;
