The New Zealand Pantascope, a diorama of New Zealand scenery just completed by Mr Thomas Nicholson; a local scenic artist, is to be exhibited in the Skating Rink for the first time on Boxing night. The artist has closely followed Cook and Son’s tour of the Colony, and the panorama commences with the entrance of the New Zealand S.S. Company’s Rimutaka at Wellington Heads. At a meeting of the Committee of the Boys’ Institute, the treasurer reported the following subscriptions received: —Mrs W. R. Williams, £5 ss; Mrs James Smith, 10s; Archdeacon Stock, £ 1; Mr C. H. SnOad, 10s; Friend per Mr Warnock, 10s. The annual tea meeting given to the boys who attend regularly at the Institute Sunday service Held by Messrs Aitken and Allan was attended by 90 boys.
