At the monthly meeting of the Seatoun Road Board yesterday week, Messrs C. E. Zohrab (chairman) and H. D. Crawford being present, a contract was signed for metalling the roads on the Watts’ Peninsula. Tenders were received for the formation of a road from the Pilot Station to Seatoun, and that of Mr J. Smith was accepted. Accounts amounting to <£l6 14s were passed for payment. The National Insurance Company,; with a neat almanac for 1895 and an equally useful pocket calendar, send us “ best wishes for a merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year.” We heartily reciprocate the kindly greeting.
