The hacks of some of the seats in the stalls at the Opera House last night were numbered, apparently with figures drawn in ordinary coal tar, of excellent consistency, with the result that the dresses worn by ladies sitting there were considerably damaged, if not ruined. The management could not have been responsible for so extremely stupid and annoying a plan of seat numbering.
