The only Victoria Cross awarded in connection with the Balaclava charge has just been sold by auction in London with other war relics, and realised £155. The Cross was awarded to a lieutenant, who is still living, for saving the life of an officer by cutting down three Russians who were in close pursuit. -Every precaution is taken to prevent the immigration into Gibraltar of new residents.
