LICENSES. Trainers, Jockeys, and Apprentices are reminded that their licenses expire on the 31st July, and their attention is directed to the Buie 167 a of the Buies of Racing, which is as follows . Rule 167 a. 'l. The Metropolitan Jockey Clubs shall issue annual licenses to trainers, '■< jockeys and apprentices. Only holders • of such licenses shall be qualified to ; ' - " train or ride under the “ Rules of Racing,” except that an apprentice may for one month after the date of his first mount in public ride races \ A without holding a license. “ Appren- -- -ALti.ce” shall mean any lad, employed in a training stable who lias not previously ridden in public. 2. The fee payable for a trainer’s license shall be two pounds, for a jockey’s . license one pound, and for an. apprentice’s license ten shillings. ; .*• 3. On application for a license the appli- • ' cant shall forward to the Secretary - v "' of the Metropolitan Club of the district in which he resides the necessary fee, together with his full name and address. Such application shall be dealt with by the Committee as they.may deem fit.
