Letters of naturalisation have been issued to the following : —Yung Lee, Wong Heong, Wong Hung, Wong Hing Lang, Ah Young, Chow Ting, Chow Chong, Qui Lie, Kum Tong, Wing Kee, Ley Kum Sing, Low Yong Show, Young Cing Hee, Mau Yiotaoa, Wilhelm Edlund, Jens Peter Petersen, all in the Wellington district. Representations having been made that the minimum weight of 4oz, at which the regulations allow rock cod to be caught and sold, is too low, as the fish at that weight are very small, the Marine Department has had the matter under consideration, and it is now proposed to amend the regulations, so as to provide that the minimum weight shall be Boz.
