Hong Kong, June 6. Tho Chinese Government has sent two thousand of its best troops to the Corea, and the British fleet has gone to Port Hamilton. Calcutta, June 7. M. Hoffkine, of Pasteur's Institute, who is visiting India, has inoculated 25,000 persons Avith cholera vaccine, with remarkablo success. Calcutta, June 9. In the Divorce Court, Sullivan, an Indian planter, sought a divorce from his wife on the grounds of adultry with Eardley Morton, a barrister. The charge having been proved, a decree nisi was granted with .£3OOO damages against the co-respondent. Tho petitioner devotes the award to making provision for his wife. Morton promises to marry the woman immediately and forego his intention of entering the Indian Parliament. Pretoria, June 9 There is considerable excitement in the Transvaal owing to the Volksraad having passed the law excluding from the franchise aliens born in the country unless their parents are naturalised. Bangkok, June 10. The Siamese Government has refused to bring into Court the mandarin Phrayot, who has already been tried and acquitted of the assassination of a French officer, the episode which brought about the dispute between France and Siam. They allege that they are afraid the French will seize and place him on board a gunboat. A deadlock has consequently occurred. Paris, June 11. The French warships at Saigon have been ordered to Bangkok to support the demand for the surrender of the mandarin Phrayot. [The mandarin shot Militia-Inspector Grosgurin, whose escort were at the same time all killed by a body of Siamese, while tho French troops were investing Khong and other posts in Siam last year. The French Government demanded reparation, and after some parleying had taken place, and a blockade appeared imminent, the Siamese yielded unconditionally to the French demands.]
