THE NORWEGIAN SEALER.
Tho Premier telegraphed last week to the Premier of Victoria for communication to the Scandinavian Consul in Melbourne a remoustranco against the sealing expedition to the Auckland Islands of tho Norwegian vessel Antarctic. Should this remonstrance provo unavailing, the Premier, wo understand, will communicate with the Admiral in charge of the Australasian Squadron. .In connection with the mission of tho II inomoa it may bo explained that Captain Fairchild will merely inform tho captain of the Antarctic should ho find that vessel at the islands, that if ho persists in his operations there ho will render his vessel liable to seizure, and that a claim for compensation may bo made upon the Government of his country.
