Cuningham Badham and Co.’s weekly horse sale report:—The yards to-day were fairly well filled, but bidding was not nearly so brisk as it was last week. This, of course, is attributable to the different class of animals which were yarded'. Last week we had a consignment from Messrs Hocken Brothers, of Feilding, of really good, upstanding young horses, and they sold at from <£l2 15s to .£23, making an average of <£l6 15s. This week the horses which came to hand lacked substance, henoe the. diiinclination of buyers to bid.

Good, big. upstanding spring carters are worth from <£lß to <£2o; lighter Sorts, suitable for express work, <£l4 to <£l6; cab and light harness horses, £lB to <£l2. For hacks there is very little demand. No draughts came to hand. Several lots of harhess, &c., were sold at prices according to quality. If people sending horses forward would give a few days’ notice, so that their animals could be properly advertised, it would bo greatly to their advantage. Edwards and Mcßeath report as follows on the labour market for the past week: —We are able to report a good demand for servants of all classes.
