Mr W. Henderson is the new Mayor of Danevirke. In the election for Mayor at Marton, the voting for Messrs McDonald and Sicely was equal. Mr McDonald, as senior member of the council, received the casting vote of the returning officer. The election at Hawera resulted as follows : Major, 131 ; Sutton, 82.
