PUBLIC WORKS VOTES.
In Cabinet on Monday afternoon Ministers made appropriations to the amount of about =£20,000 for public works in various parts of the Colony. The largest item was £IO,OOO for the Eketaliuna-Woodville railway extension, while £2OOO was appropriated for roads in the Hunterville district, £ISOO for the road round the rocks, Wellington Harbour, to the torpedo station at Shelly Bay, and £llOO for the furnishing of Porirua Asylum. 11 T
