The township of Norsewood has just completed its twenty-first year. The Minister of Trade and Commerce for the Dominion of Canada, Mr Mackenzie Bowell, who has been appointed special envoy to Australia, arrived at Vancouver, 8.C., on September 16th. After conferring with the Boards of Trade in the cities of Canada, the Minister says the duty on dead mutton from Australia will be reduced as an off-set to the low duty on live mutton from Oregon. At a representative meeting of manufacturers and business men of Vancotxver at the Board of Trade rooms-certain facts in connection with the trade betfween Canada and Australia were laid before Mr Bowell.
