LABOUR STRUGGLES.
London, May 11, The strikers at Hull are willing to resume, if the Shipping Federation will give a written assurance that they will not attempt to destroy the union. The Sailors' and Firemen's Union has affiliated with the National Miners' Federation with a view to a strike. London, May 13. The dispute between the dockers aud the shipowners at Hull has been settled. The dockers have agreed to allow the employment of either unionists or noniunionistß, which virtually gives the terms asked by the Shipping Federation, Sydney, May 12.Five out of seven of the Western Colleries have notified a reduction of sixpenoe per ton in hewing rates. The miners are trying to arrange a conference, but the masters are opposed to thh coarse. The miners in tha Yale Colliery have ceased work in conuoquenoo.
