THE HAWAIIAN QUESTION. Washington, February 21. Princess Kaiulani, niece of the Queen of Hawaii, has appealed to the American people, protesting against being deprived of the right of succession to the Crown. (special.) Washington, February 21. The Queen of Hawaii has appealed to Mr Cleveland to prevent the annexation of the islands by the United States. (press association.) THE BANK OF IRELAND. London, February 21. The official receiver appointed for the Philadelphia and Reading Railway Company states that the assets are ample, and that the crisis is owing to the enormous business of the company and the small amount of its capital.
