MISSING FRIENDS.
With a view to further inoreaaing the utility of the New Zealand Mail, the Editor has deeided to introduce a new featute in the shape of a Missing Friends’ column, in whioh will be published the names of persons for whom their friends are enquiring in the Home weeklies. Enquiries from persons in New Zealand and in the Australian Colonies for information missing friends, will be inserted in this column at the rate of Is for each insertion. ±teplie3 will be forwarded to the Editors of Lloyd’s and other papers if desired. All correspondence for this column should be addressed New Zealand Mail, Wellington, with the words 'Missing Friends’ in the eft hand top corner. from Lloyd’s weekly may 16. CULPITT, WILLIAM—Left Dublin for New Zealand in 1857 ; last heard of when eaddle and harness maker in Auckland. Sister Sarah asks. DOCKETY, THOMAS—Sailed in the Otarama (New Zealand Shipping Company), Oct. 23rd, 1891 left the ship Dec. 30th ; last heard of in Little, (?) New Zealand. His invalid mother is desirous of news. DRAKEFORD, SOPHIE—Went to New Zealand about 1858. Her niece, Emma Amelia, would be glad to hear. GREEN—Wanted the address of William Cutler Green, who left London for New Zealand, 1881 ; went from there to Fiji Islands ; last heard of in Melbourne, 1883. Son enquires. WATSON—The eldest daughter of the late Edward Watson, who lived at Fulham, desires to state that she wrote to New Zealand, but has had no reply, and would be glad if New Zealand papers would notice thi3. FROM LLOYD’S WEEKLY, MAY 20. From Barnet:—SAßAH BUSTIN—Left 6, Barford street, Liverpool road, Islington, for New Zealand, about 1863. Her son George seeks news ; and also enquires for his brother, ALFRED BUSTIN, who left Southampton in 1876 for Calcutta. CASELY (WILLIAM JANES)—Left London in 1864 ; 10 to 12 years ago be was in Auckland, New Zealand, and sold off to go to Queensland. His sister Mary Ann would he very thankful to hear of him. ADD (GEORG L) —Emigrated from Farn. borough, Kent, either to New Zealand or Australia in 1863, and has not been heard of since. His parents and brother Richard are dead ; his niece Josephine asks. From Manitobi : —Ji>HN and ROBERT SEALY—Deft Somersetshire abrut 1854, and were at goldfields in Australia or New Zealand a year later. Their sister Susan has just died in Manitoba, and her son would like to find them. from Lloyd’s weekly newspaper JUNE 12. ANDERSON ROBERT—Left Coatbridge, Scotl*ud, about nine years ago, and went to New Zealand ; last heard of from Mulloeky Gully 7, near Mosseill, six years since. Brother John will be grateful for any news. ROBINSON, JOSEPH HENRY—Left his home in Copperas-lane, Church street, Deptford, and was last heard of in New Zealand as a farmer and piloting ships in aud out of the harbour. TOMLINSON RICHARD—Went to New Zealand about 53 years ago. His sister Mary Esther longs to hear of him. WALKER EDWARD —Sailed from Ply. < j mouth in the ship European, June 6tb, 1885, bound for New Zealand ; last heard | from in Wellington about six or seven j years ago.
