VOLCANIC ERUPTIONS IN EUROPE.

Mount Etna is very active and the lava has reached nearly to Nicolosi and Belhaso. Rome, July 13. Five craters have opened on Mount Etna. The village of Giarre is ruined. Rome, July 14. Fifteen craters of Mount Etna are in eruption.
Etna is hurling streams of lava and huge rocks to an immense distance. The people near the mountain are seriously alarmed.
Rome, July 15. Mount Vesuvius lias broken out in eruption. Rome, July 16. Mount Etna is hurling stones 1000 feet high, and the streams of lava are devastating the country within two miles of Nicolosi, a town situated on the south side of the mountain.
