A BATTLE IN THE PRESBYTERY.

(PRIS 3 ASSOCIATION.) Dunedin, June 15. Thera was again a long sitting of the Dunedin Presbytery to day to consider a protest and appeal from First Church. Mr C. Moore, an elder, had resigned, and when nominations for the vacancy were made,. Mr Moore was again nominated, but the kirk sessions decided not to submit his name to the congregation. The Presbytery, after long discussion, decided by 13 to 5 to leave over the legal question for the Synod to determine, and in the interest of peace recommended the sessions to recommence the election, and submit all names to the members of the congregation.
