PROHIBITION IN DUNEDIN.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION,) Dunedin, June 20. At the aljourned meeting of the Maori Hill Licensing Committee, it was finally resolved to refuse a license to the only hotel in the district. The petition against granting the license was signed hy 22 residents—l 3 women and nine men —of whom seven were ratepayers ; while the petition in favour of the license being gran* ed was signed by 98 persons, of whom 53 are ratepayers.
