A despatch to the New York papers states that Palacio, President of Venezuela, has fled before the advance of the insurgents on the capital. Washington, June 16. Telegrams from Venezuela report that Garria, Minister of War, is acting temporarily as President. Rioting in Caracas followed Polacio’s flight. The Venezuelan Consul in New York denies that the President has fled, and other reports represent the Government as victorious. (PRESS ASSOCIATION.) New York, June 15. It is reported that Palacio offered to retire on condition of peace being restored, pending the ballot for the Presidency of Venezuela. New York, June 17. Further intelligence from Venezuela states that th 9 rebels continue their success against the Government troops, and that they are advancing on Bolivar, on the Caribbean Sea. President Palaccio has resigned. New York, June 19. Telegrams from Venezuela state that there have been two days’ fighting at the port of Barcelona with great slaughter. The insurgents have re captured Bolivar, and are sanguine of ultimate success. The Federal Council controls the State pending the election of a successor to Dr Palacio.
