BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH —COPYRIGHT. A MOTION OF NO-CONFIDENCE. (PRESS ASSOCIATION.)_ Sydney, December 8. Mr Reid, leader of the Opposition, moved a resolution of want of confidence io-nigh e . In a lengthy speech, he asserted that he would stake the whole of his political life in future- upon an endeavour to obtain the imposition of a land tax. He would consider himself disgraced if he occupied office for a year without introducing a tax which would reach those who locked up the land. The fiscal question would only be satisfactorily settled by a plebiscite. If Protection was arrived at by such means he would bo prepared to abide by it. Sir 11. Parkes, by interruptions during the speech, gave evidence of the existence of a certain amount ot bad feeling between himself and Mr Reid.
