A meeting of the Management Committee -of the Cricketers’ Association was held at Messrs Wise and Speed’s on Friday, Mr C. A. Knapp occaping the chair. The Secretary read a letter from Mr E. Pearce thanking the Association for electing him President of the "Association, and enclosing a cheque for three guineas. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr Pearce for his donation. The Kilbirnie, Karori, and Thorndon Clubs were admitted to ■the Association. The Butchers’ Club were allotted a practice pitch on the Basin Reserve on the payment of a fee of one guinea. A letter was received from Mr A. Ashbolt, thanking the Association for electing him a life member. The Secretary of the Amateur Athletic Club wrote asking that Saturday, the 21st pros., and the 19th of March be left open to allow the Club to hold their sports. The latter date was altered to April, on the motion of Mr Kelling, seconded by M r Motley A letter was read from the Wellington Club stating that in all probability they would enter two teams for the Junior Cup. but it was de-ided. on the motion of Mr Motley, seconded by* Mr Webb, that no club be allowed to enter more than one team for the three championships. It was decided to have a Third-class Championshio this season, and Messrs Kelling, Bee and W. Bethnne were elected a committee ' to carry out all arrangements in connection therewith. Messrs Ashbolt. Motley, and Rooaldson were elected a Championship Committee, to carry out the Senior and Junior Championship matches. This committee will

undertake the duties of the old Ground Committee, and settle all disputes with regard to the rules. Messrs W. Groalen and A. Motley were elected secretary and treasurer respectively, and F. G. Brittain was appointed auditor, vice Mr Motley, resigned. The secretary was instructed to write to Mr J. Mackay, Principal of the Wellington College, for the use of the ground during the coining season, and if the answer was in the affirmative, to procure some matting for the use of the ground. The Albert and Surrey Clubs were reported to be in arrears to the Association, and it was decided to strike them off the roll. It was decided to allow clubs having private pitches, to charge foreign teams for using them. It was decided to open the season with net practice on Thursday, and the Championship Committee were authorised to arrange three matches on the following Saturday. Mr Moorhouse has been enjoying himself immensely, and up till the present he is not certain when he will return to the Colony.
