Argument for prohibition in the Maori fishing cases to-day in Banco, before Mr Justice Danniaton, cams to an abrupt conclusion, owing to the proceedings, as framed, not raising the principal question whether the Maori 3 surrendered the fishing rightß granted by the Treaty of Waitangi. It was agreed to raise the point by a prosecution in the R.M. Court, and then remove to the Supreme Court for decision.
