Athletics.

The presentation of prizes in connection with the Wellington Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club took place on Tuesday at the Masonic Hall. The proceedings were opened with a conversazione, which was_ largely attended, and during which the priz9B won at the Club’? last meeting were presented to the successful competitors by Miss Holmes. At the conclusion of the presentation dancing was indulged in, and kept up till the small hours of ths morning, over 100 couples being present. AU the arrangements were well carried out, and the numerous guests well looked after by the Committee, who had a most efficient and attentive "M.C.” in Mr H. Gully. During the evening the piano waa presided over by Mr E. J. King.
