The annual general meeting of the Agrl. cultural and Pastoral Association will be held on Friday (to-day), at the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile offices, Featherston street. The report and balance sheet for tho past year is being prepared, and shows gratifying results in some points. The entries received tor the last Show were 152 above the number of the former year. The sales after the Show proved very satis, faotory, many of the animals being quitted at prices far above the reserve. The Association’s first Ram and Ewe Fair proved very successful, and the Southern breeders who exhibited were so satisfied with the result that they have promised to accord the Association much larger support at their next Fair.
