THE KAKANUI RELIEF FUN D.

The Kakanui Relief Fund Committee have adopted the report drawn up by the subcommittee, in which a plan is proposed for allocating the fund on the basis of £I9BO being oollected under it. A certain sumispufc down for each, ranging from £319 for Mrs Nordeen, and £297 for Morgan’s children, to £l6 10s for Mr Cowan. The cash is to be paid to Mrs Best and others, while the allowance of others will be given in weekly payments, which will expire in about eight years. A trust deed is to be prepared, and the fund will thus exhaust itself. If there is any more received it will be divided pro rata amoDg those receiving weekly relief.
