THE LYNCHING AT NEW ORLEANS.

The Governor of Louisiana admits that three of the Sicilans lynched in New Orleans were probably Italian subjects. Washington, March 26. Detective O’Malley has been indicted at New Orleans for bribing the jury in the Sicilian murder trial. Washington, March 30. Some Italian navvies in West Virginia have murdered a Scotch ganger for approving the New Orleans lynching, Rome, March 29. There is an agitation in Italy to abstain from sending exhibits to the World’s Fair at Chicago in retaliation for the lynching of Sicilians at New Orleans. (SPECIAL TO PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Washington, March 26. Meetings are being held everywhere to protest against Italian Secret Societies. Rome, March 30. The Italian Ambassador at Washington is to be recalled unless prompt action be taken by the authorities at New Orleans to have the lynchers punished.
